ANOTHER RECYCLE SUCCESS!

Husband and wife team build sheds for shelter!
NCHS was badly in need of storage space. John and Beverly Furster generously donated their days off and weekends to assemble 2 large sheds for NCHS! The building of these 10X12 foot sheds took hours of labor and in the intense heat, no less!
Our most heartfelt thanks to you two! You are quite a team!

North County Youth Raise $’s for North County Humane Society
North County Humane Society received a huge surprise last week when two young ladies brought a check to the shelter for $1,089.29! This check represents the fundraising efforts of Juli Keele and Brianne Messer. These hard working and resourceful young ladies collected this donation via recycling aluminum cans for the past 6 months!
We commend these young ladies for their effort and dedication. It is most heart warming to see what a difference our youth can make in the lives and well-being of the animals in our shelter. This donation will go a long way in helping to care for the unwanted animals in our community! Thank You! Thank You! Juli and Brianne!

Hope and Awareness Appears in Many Ways!
At NCHS we have a great group of devoted volunteers. One of our volunteers, Sharyn Vannus, took it upon herself, and unbeknownst to us, to "pre-sell" magnetic ribbons which NCHS stocks. These ribbons, for your cars, have various sayings such as "Please Spay and Neuter your Pets", "Save a Life, Adopt a Shelter Pet", etc. In less than a month, Sharyn raised over $1,700.00 in ribbon sales! Some of the folks just donated money to help the shelter. Stop by NCHS for your ribbon. They are only $5.00 each. A huge Thank You to Sharyn for this tremendous effort and to all of those who contributed! |
