Meet our Shop For The Shelter Volunteers — Anne & Toni
We have the two most incredible volunteers doing our Shop for the Shelter.
Anne is the new mother of "BOOTS" the fabulous kitten adopted from NCHS.Anne first committed to the Atascadero K-Mart location for the third Saturday of each month.
Toni came to the shelter after donating at a Shop for the Shelter and was invited to come visit. When Toni visited the shelter she was asked if she would like to volunteer, she bluntly said "NO". Toni spent time with our kitty residents that day and something changed her mind. The next Saturday she came to visit and had decided to volunteer.
They have been a great team since July also taking on the Food 4 Less location in Paso. Along with running the Shop for the Shelter at both locations they both come to the shelter regularly to play with the cats and kittens. The Staff, Residents and The Board of Directors greatly appreciates the dedication these two fabulous ladies have given to NCHS.
NCHS HAS A GREAT VOLUNTEER!
Congratulations to North County Humane Society volunteer Priscilla Herzog who was recognized in the Friday, June 16th edition of the Paso Robles Press for her volunteer work on behalf of the Shelter! Priscilla was one of twenty local volunteers featured in a special edition of the paper highlighting “Great People” in our local community. The Wednesday before the featured article, all of the honored volunteers were gathered for a reception at the Food 4 Less in Paso Robles where there were refreshments, photos taken, and each honoree was presented with several gifts from area merchants.
Priscilla assists with NCHS press releases and ads; accepts, marks and organizes the items that are for sale in the Shelter store; and attends outreach events on behalf of NCHS.
We need your help! Volunteers are among our most important supporters, enabling
us to provide a high quality of animal care and public education. We can always use volunteer help. Even if you only have an hour or two a month, you time can make a huge difference.
